Systems
The completely redesigned Convertible Hydrofarm Sunburst Metal Halide/HP Sodium Plant Grow Light System has raised the standard for all other compact HID plant grow light systems, delivering more usable light energy for maximum plant performance while operating quieter and cooler than any other compact system on the market.
Hydrofarm's Sunburst Convertible Plant Grow Light Systems can now utilize either metal halide (MH) or high pressure sodium (HPS) bulbs in the appropriate wattage, and easily convert between one or the other by simply flicking a switch and changing the bulb. |

Sunburst Series HID Plant Grow Lights are fully UL and CSA listed mini lamp systems and are approved for use in damp locations.
The four-sided angled reflector interior has been completely retooled with a brighter, 95% reflective material, creating the broadest and most balanced light distribution pattern available for maximum plant growth in smaller spaces. With a larger reflector area, the Sunburst 400 watt systems are able to accomodate all 400 watt halide bulbs.
Sunburst Series lamps have the ballast components built right into the reflector, much like a home shop light. |

But unlike a home shop light, Sunburst lamps are built tough, with secure, impact driven stud, heavy double wall steel transformer mounting utilizing quiet ISO mount technology. Better ventilation features, including an optional cooling fan, allow for better plant growth and longer system life. |

Easy slide-in lens with convenient lens retainer (included) helps keep bulb clean and cooling efficiency high when the optional Sunburst Cooling Fan System is utilized.
Flexible cooling options allow you to redirect or exhaust excess heat. The optional Sunburst Cooling Fan System (available below, pictured right) with a 4-inch duct adaptor attaches directly to the top of the Sunburst system.
You may optionally exhaust excess heat by adding cooling flanges (LGCKT2) and an ActiveAir blower for enhanced fan-powered cooling.

Many companies claim their lighting systems are fully Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed and approved for use in damp locations, when in fact, only their components have been certified. |

A UL Listing for a lighting system is only valid when the entire manufactured system is submitted for testing and safety approvals and is sold as a complete light system. Beware of 'basement bargain brands' and do-it-yourself kits, as you may be buying a fire hazard. Hydrofarm has demonstrated their committment to quality and safety consistently since 1977.
Sunburst Series HID Plant Grow Lights measure 20 inches long by 13 inches wide with an incredibly low profile, only 7 inches tall (excluding hanging hooks). All complete systems include bulb(s), tempered lens, hanging hardware, eight-foot grounded power cord, an eight-year ballast component warranty (one-year manufacturers warranty on bulbs) and complete instructions.
Available below either without a bulb or with your choice of a wide variety of single or dual bulb choices. Metal halide are best for all-purpose growing, vegetative, and propagation applications. High pressure sodiums are best for the fruiting and flowering stages of plant growth to stimulate fruit and flower production. |
