The Baby Bloomer is an ebb and flood (or ebb and flow) garden. This means plants are fed automatically with a simple flood and drain watering method. Everytime water floods the bedding tray, stale air is pushed out and all plant roots are equally fed and bathed. As the water drains back into the reservoir, fresh air is pulled in to the root area. Plants love it. That all there is to it. This process happens 4-8 times a day depending on growing conditions.
What about the nutrients -- what are they made from?
The nutrients included with our gardens are derived from natural mineral deposits. They provide all the elements required for vigorous plant growth in a soluble, easy to use form. These are the same elements you would find in the best organic soil. Rest assured, your plants are being fed super nutritious food for super nutritious produce.

The Econo Tray measures 3 feet square and is constructed of a vacuum-formed, super strong and durable ABS plastic. Its gutter pattern was specially designed to support the weight of all your plants and a full tank of water while resisting sagging in the middle. Most plastic trays will sag due to the weight, which can lead to cracks and leaks, especially around the fittings. The unique design was engineered to allow quick and complete drainage, which helps to reduce excess buildups in the growing tray.
EconoSystems include growing tray(s), a stong galvanized steel table frame with injection molded plastic corners, a reliable magnetic impellor submersible pump, the unparallelled AmHydro Fill/Drain and Overflow fitting kit, 30 gallon ABS reservoir, all necessary plumbing and complete instructions. Two-year warranty on everything except the pump, which carries a six- month warranty. To complete the system, you will need to add pots, a growing medium such as fired clay or rockwool, hydroponic nutrients, seeds, water and sufficient light. A 25 gallon reservoir sits directly beneath the growing tray, providing the vessel that your water and plant nutrients reside. A submersible pump pumps this nutrient enriched water directly to the roots of the plants through a reliable fill and drain fitting that connects to the growing tray. Integrated into the growing tray is an overflow fitting, which allows the nutrient solution to drain directly back into the nutrient reservoir during the pumping cycle, eliminating any chance of leakage.
The heavy-duty growing tray is capable of holding virtually any type of media (not included), including rockwool cubes or containers filled with lightweight expanded clay aggregate (LECA), perlite, vermiculite or coco peat.
Bedding and reservoir trays are UV stabilized, vacuum formed ABS plastic with no seams which assures no cracking. The bedding tray has a unique, extremely effective nipple design to prevent standing water. 25 gallon reservoir designed to nest with bedding tray and provide easy access to reservoir.
