Biological control of alfalfa and redhumped caterpillars, cabbage looper, omnivorous and fruit tree leaf roller.
Bonide Bacillus Thuringiensis (Bt) is a bacterium which is selectively toxic to many moth and butterfly larvae (caterpillars). The insects stop feeding and die within 2 to 3 days of ingestion. There is no residue problem, and being exempt from tolerance requirements, this product may be applied at the recommended amounts up to the day of harvest.
Apply at the first sign of infestation, and repeat at weekly intervals as needed to maintain control. Bonide BT may be applied by hose or |

pressurized sprayers; mist blowers. Apply thoroughly to upper and lower leaf surfaces, but not to the point of excessive run-off.
Labeled for use on alfalfa, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, kale, mustard greens, turnip greens, beans, lettuce, celery, spinach, melons, potatoes, cucumbers, cotton, tobacco, tomatoes, watermelons, grapes, oranges and walnuts.
Note: For Gypsy Moth, apply when buds swell, but before leaves are fully open. If eggs hatch over a long period of time or if reinfestation occurs, spray again about 14 days after first application.

Mosquito Dunks®
Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis primary powder [7000 Aedes aegypti (AA) International Toxic Units (ITU) per milligram primary powder (Dry weight basis)].
Mosquito Dunks float on water and will keep on working for 30 days or longer under typical environmental conditions. While floating, they slowly release a long-term, biological mosquito larvicide at the water's surface. This larvicide gradually settles in the water where it is eaten by mosquito larvae growing there.
Mosquito Dunks may be used in all types of standing water sites. Alternate wetting and drying will not reduce their effectiveness. where mosquito larvae grow. |

Use one Mosquito Dunk for up to 100 square feet of water surface, regardless of depth. They can be used whole or broken into portions and applied to standing water found near the home in areas such as bird baths, flower pots, tree holes, old tires, unused swimming pools, rain barrels and roof gutters.
Mosquito Dunks contain the same subspecies of Bt that is used in a popular commercial fungus gnat control, which is no longer available in consumer sizes. Many of our customers have successfully used mosquito dunks as a soil drench to eliminate fungus gnat larvae. Just scrape off a teaspoon or two of Mosquito Dunk into a gallon of water, stir, and thoroughly drench container soil every 3 or 4 days. |

The Bits will give a quick kill within 24 hours. For more residual long term control use Mosquito Dunks (above and below) after applying Mosquito Bits.
Sprinkle one teaspoon per 25 square feet or one tablespoon per 75 square feet (1/2 pound per 2,178 square feet) over the surface of standing water found around the home. Mosquito Bits should be applied uniformly. A seven to fourteen day interval between applications should be employed. Longer periods of mosquito suppression will be obtained with the subsequent use of Mosquito Dunks. Safe for use in standing water around the home including water gardens, bird baths, flower pots, tree holes, rain barrels, unused swimming pools, roof gutters, old tires and any other location near the household where water collects and remains for periods of time.
