Orchids should not be fed with general purpose plant foods for many reasons. Most importantly the nitrogen supply in the mass market product will inevitably contain high levels of ammonia and urea. These compounds can be quite toxic to orchids and should never be supplied for that reason. Orchid Focus is completely free of ammoniacal and ureic nitrogen.
Orchid Focus is manufactured from the purest and most soluble mineral salts and fortified with a complex profile of organic plant acids. It is precisely formulated for the needs of orchids - contains no ammonia or urea. Orchid Focus is non-toxic and poses no environmental hazards.
Orchid Focus is an ideal feeding program for orchids. It can help produce healthier, more vigorous plants and brighter, longer lasting flowers.
Grow and Bloom Formulations
Orchid Focus; is available in two separate formulations:
Orchid Focus Grow (2.0-0.6-2.0) has high levels of nitrogen, derived from nitrates, to encourage the growth of healthy shoots and leaves. Contains Nitrate Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulphur, Iron, Manganese, Boron, Zinc, Copper, Molybdenum, Cobalt, Nickel, and Humic & Fulvic Acids.
Orchid Focus Bloom (2.0-1.0-2.0) has enhanced levels of phosphorus and potassium to support heavy flowering. Contains Nitrate Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulphur, Iron, Manganese, Boron, Zinc, Copper, Molybdenum, Cobalt, Nickel, and Humic & Fulvic Acids.
Use Orchid Focus Grow throughout the growing season. Switch to Orchid Focus Bloom as soon as plants develop buds. Use Orchid Focus Bloom through the flowering period and switch back to Orchid Focus Grow as soon as flowers are finished.
The most commonly cultivated genera, Cymbidium, Paphiopedilum, Cattleya, Phalaenopsis, and Dendrobium, will all benefit from a proper program of nutrition. They can be fed through the roots and by foliar application (misting the leaves).

Orchid Champion
Orchid Champion is a natural cleaning formula designed to aid in the expulsion and breakdown of dead matter in the growing media and on tools or in equipment. It should be used as directed with all watering regimen. It is compatible with all standard fertilization programs. Orchid Champion is not a nutrient or a fertilizer but a specialized OMRI registered enzyme solution that is sterilized. The products shelf life is unlimited.

Orchid Champion is compatible with all containerized growing media used in the production of exotic plants including orchids, cactus, palms, bonsai, and flowers.
For seedling trays and soilless media, use 6 ml per 4 liters (1 gallon) of water to treat prior to use. Gently soak media to meet required moisture level.
For cuttings media preparation, soak plugs or rockwool cubes at 6 ml per 4 liters (1 gallon) of water. Proceed with normal regimen.
For soilless media, hydroponics, soil, coco peat, and rockwool, use in conjunction with nutrient change out based on weekly feeding schedule. Add 8 to 10 ml per 4 liters (1 gallon) of water, never exceeding 15 ml per 4 liters. Use as a soaking cleanser or in a drip feed system. Stay with normal feeding regimen and apply Orchid Champion in conjunction.
For equipment and tool wash and rinse applications, use between 4 and 6 ml per 4 liters (1 gallon) of water and rinse equipment and tools before and after use. Orchid Champion is available in a 500 ml and 1 liter bottle. |

All Dyna-Gro plant nutrient formulas were developed from research in the science of hydroponics where plants are supplied with all of their essential nutrients in solution. Container grown plants become closer to hydroponics because available minor and trace nutrients are eventually depleted, even with applications of ordinary fertilizers. Plants grown in soil less mixes: peat, perlite, vermiculite, bark, lava rock and so forth are essentially being grown hydroponically.
While adding incomplete fertilizers may keep your plants alive, only a complete balance of all essential mineral elements will produce optimum plant growth. Completely balanced with minor and trace elements including calcium (2%), magnesium (0.5%), sulfur (0.05%), boron (0.02%), chlorine (0.1%), cobalt (0.0015%), copper (0.05%), iron (0.1%), manganese (0.05%), molybdenum (0.0009%), nickel (0.0001%), sodium (0.10%) and zinc (0.05%). Contains 2.6% ammoniacal nitrogen and 4.4% nitrate nitrogen, 9% phosphorus, 5% potassium. Super concentrated, use between 1/4 and one full teaspoon per gallon of solution, depending on nutrient requirements of plant. 8 ounces makes up to 187.5 gallons; quart up to 750 gallons; gallon up to 3000 gallons. |
