The Bluelab Combo Meter is a conductivity, pH and temperature meter all in one. It comes with a pH probe and a conductivity / temperature probe, which are simply placed into the hydroponic nutrient solution and the selected reading is displayed on screen.
Since the Bluelab Combo Meter is portable and does'nt require an external power supply to operate, it can be used anytime and anywhere to help you manage your crops daily nutrient requirements.
Calibration of the pH is very easy, using the push buttons on the meter and fresh Bluelab calibration solutions.
Conductivity and temperature do not need to be calibrated as this is locked in during manufacture.
The Bluelab Combo Meter gives you the added benefit of being able to select the display options for °C or °F and EC, CF or ppm.

Probe cleaning is one of the most important parts of owning and operating any Bluelab meter, monitor or controller. If the probe is contaminated or dirty, it affects the accuracy of the reading displayed.
The instrument is only as accurate as the probe is clean! |

The probe surface is where the instrument takes the reading of the solution. The information is sent back from the probe to the micro computer, or "brain", of the instrument. A calculation is then done by the micro computer and a reading is then displayed. If the information sent back from the probe is inaccurate due to probe surface contamination, then the reading will be inaccurate as well.
Cleaning the probes is a very easy task and prolongs the life of the probes.
