SNS-217^TM Spider Mite Control is made up of 100% pure Rosemary botanical extracts. The botanicals are all food grade GRAS (generally recognized as safe) materials.

SNS-217^TM Spider Mite Control is exempt from EPA registration under minimum risk pesticides exempted under FIFRA section 25(b).

Spider mites destroy plant cells by sucking out their contents and SNS-217's unique formula works by providing a barrier which is harmless to the plant, but fatal to the mites.

The natural salts from fatty acids derived from pure Rosemary extracts disrupt the insect cell structure and permeability of its membranes. Cell contents then leak from the damaged cells and the spider mites quickly die.

Some of the components of SNS-217^TM are also absorbed by the plant and then suppress the life cycle of the mites.

SNS-217^TM Spider Mite Control kills the spider mite eggs as well by coating the eggs with a oily shield that disrupts the respiration to the egg; therefore no hatching will occur, they will just dry out.

SNS-217^TM has been tested in our lab on delicate new growth, clones, tomatoes, roses and other plants.

SNS-217^TM Spider Mite Control can be used on a wide variety of plants, vegetables, and even trees. When applying the product take caution not to spray any developing buds on the plant, as doing so could result in burning of the buds sprayed. SNS-217^TM Spider Mite Control can be safetly sprayed on fruits, vegetables, and plants varying from; apples, apricots, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cherries, chives, corn, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, parsley, fuchsia, roses, flowers, houseplants, etc.

SNS-217^TM is fully bio-degradable and is not toxic to animals and under directed normal use, should not affect the plant's metabolism.

SNS-217^TM Spider Mite Control comes in a ready to use 32 ounce (946.3 ml) spray bottle with a unique any direction sprayer. Also available in a personal 4 ounce size that can be carried with you anywhere for spot applications.

SNS-217's unique sprayer allows you to spray at any angle you choose. Since spider mites hide on the under side of leaves this sprayer will have no problem at all getting those hard to reach spots.

One thorough application is usually enough, but heavy infestations may require two, as the eggs can be a bit hardier, so we recommend an additional application in these cases.

Liquid Ladybug^TM Spider Mite Killer employs a very effective blend of aromatic organic plant oils to safely and rapidly kill spider mites. It is safe enough to use often, bare handed, without a mask and does not stain or damage surfaces. It is completely safe for the environment, people, pets and plants and can be used from germination to the day of harvest without affecting the taste or quality of your harvest.

Liquid Ladybug^TM doesn't use any dangerous ingredients because strength is not the smart way to stop the insidious spider mite threat. Spider mites are very small and vulnerable insects protected only by the massive number of eggs it is capable of laying. Fortunately, it is precisely this reproductive mechanism that is also its primary weakness.

The entire spider mite colony is reliant on sufficient numbers of eggs being laid to survive. When every adult and nymph is eliminated, there is a small window of opportunity to eliminate the entire colony in successive removals of adolescent mites.

At 55 degrees Fahrenheit, it takes 40 days for the lifecycle of a spider mite from hatch to adult, but at 85 degrees, this pace accelerates rapidly to only 5 days.

For 7 to 40 days no eggs are being laid, only old eggs are hatching.

When an adult spider mite is allowed to survive to egg laying stage, the amount of eggs she alone lays will assure the survival of the infestation. These mites are very small but very driven to lay their eggs.

In a month a single egg laying adult can lay enough eggs, hatching enough new mites to produce 1,000,000 new eggs. The eggs are very tough. It is far safer to not use something so strong it can kill mite eggs and risk damaging your crop. Freshly hatched mite nymphs are easy targets for Liquid Ladybug^TM and present no risk to the plant or the gardener! Simply reapplying Liquid Ladybug^TM in a timed fashion to kill hatching mite eggs removes the remaining possible egg laying mites.

The male and female eggs are plentiful and have a nearly 100% hatch rate. They can be found under leaves along veins, on stems and branch junction. The mites leave a trail of eggs as they eat and move about the plant.

Liquid Ladybug^TM is designed to remove the egg laying adult mites and developing nymphs first to stop all egg laying in the colony.

The eggs hatch at different rates depending on temperature mostly. The greater the temperature the less time it takes eggs to hatch into mite nymphs.

The nymphs are very susceptible to Liquid Ladybug^TM at hatching. The aromatic oils and esters in Liquid Ladybug rapidly coat and are absorbed to suffocate the mite and dissolve its respiratory and digestive tracks.

Once again, reaching the adult egg-laying phase is either delayed or accelerated by temperature or stopped in its tracks by Liquid Ladybug^TM.

Adults are also very susceptible to the oils and esters of Liquid Ladybug^TM. Once coated the mite has no ability to remove the oil which is rapidly absorbed into the respiratory tract and is ingested to dissolve the digestive organs while stopping all digestive chemistry, effectively terminating the mite in its tracks.

Any mites seen after a Liquid Ladybug^TM treatment are either newly hatched nymphs or adults mites that escaped the application treatment.

Therefore, the best way to eliminate this pest is to first eliminate all the hatched mites during all phases of development which will remove all the egg layers.

This process provides a range of time, dependent on temperature, to eradicate all the hatching nymphs from the any leftover eggs before they can become egg laying adults.

Spider mites come indoors on clothing, shoes, wind, dirt, new plants, pets, virtually anything and everything. At a mere 1/10 of a millimeter in size, spider mites can establish a new colony very quickly, which is why it is important to always be vigilant by checking for mite issues even after successfully beating an infestation back.

Ultimately, the correct strategy for dealing with this pest is to be able to use a very safe agent; one that can be used often with no harm to plant or animal, but decisively kills mites on contact. Only by killing the egg layers will you successfully control this pest.
