The mission of the New England Carnivorous Plant Society shall be to share, to gain knowledge of, and to achieve expertise in all phases of growing, education, appreciation, and conservation of carnivorous plants in both culture and in native habitats.

Exotic Gardens is a venture started in 1998 to educate people about various carnivorous plants and their unfortunate demise due to urban sprawl and poaching. In 2000, Exotic Gardens established a store front operation to offer these unique plants for sale to the public in an effort to educate and promote the conservation through a retail operation. As popularity increased, a website was created dedicated entirely to the Venus flytrap, which grew to include basic plants from each major carnivorous plant species. |
