| The new Sunburst reflector has just raised the standard for all other compact HID plant grow light systems. The newly redesigned Hydrofarm Sunburst delivers more usable light energy for maximum plant performance while operating quieter and cooler than any other compact system on the market. |

Sunburst Series HID Plant Grow Lights are fully UL and CSA listed mini lamp systems and are approved for use in damp locations. The four angle reflector has been completely retooled with a brighter, 95% reflective material, creating the broadest and most balanced light distribution pattern available for maximum plant growth in smaller spaces. With a larger reflector area, the Sunburst 400 watt systems are able to accomodate all 400 watt halide bulbs, including Hydrofarm's own AgroSun Gold.
Sunburst Series lamps have the ballast components built right into the reflector, much like a home shop light. But unlike a home shop light, Sunburst lamps are built tough, with secure, impact driven stud, heavy double wall steel transformer mounting utilizing quiet ISO mount technology. Better ventilation features, including an optional cooling fan, allow for better plant growth and longer system life. |

A UL Listing for a lighting system is only valid when the entire manufactured system is submitted for testing and safety approvals and is sold as a complete light system. Beware of 'basement bargain brands' and do-it-yourself kits, as you may be buying a fire hazard. Hydrofarm has demonstrated their committment to quality and safety consistently since 1977.
Available in both metal halide and hi-pressure sodium, Hydrofarm® covers all ballast components with a new six-year warranty, the longest in the industry (bulbs carry one-year manufacturers warranty).
Sunburst Series HID Plant Grow Lights measure 20 inches long by 13 inches wide with an incredibly low profile, only 7 inches tall (excluding hanging hooks). All systems include bulb, hanging hardware, eight-foot grounded power cord, six-year ballast component warranty (one-year manufacturers warranty on bulbs) and complete instructions. Deluxe and Super systems include tempered safety glass (required for full UL listing).

Natural Spectrum
Lamp
Simulating the blue light of the noonday sun, plants look completely natural under metal halide lamps.
Best All-Purpose Lamp
All plants grow incredibly well under metal halide lamps. The number one choice for bonsai trainers, show orchid enthusiasts, cactus and succulent growers, african violet collectors, plant propagators, hobby greenhousers and more!
Best For Compact Growth
Plants grown with metal halide lamps stay more compact and have a shorter internodal length than those grown with high pressure sodium lamps.
Enhanced Spectrum Bulbs
Such as AgroSun bulbs from Hydrofarm and Deluxe bulbs from Sunmaster add increased amounts of red spectrum light to the normal blue spectrum of metal halide, improving plant growth habit, color rendering and plant appearance.
Long Lamp Life
Most metal halide bulbs need to be replaced once every year with daily use for optimum plant growth performance. Many metal halide bulbs will burn much longer than this, however usable output decreases significantly with age.

Orange / Red Spectrum Lamp
Simulates the red spectrums of sunlight found in the waning months of summer, when the red hues are more evident. Increases fruit and flower production in almost all plants. HPS light is not a good choice for situations where the natural appearance of plants is important.
Best For Supplemental
Greenhouse Use
Plants grown in greenhouses where the day length is extended through the use of red spectrum HPS lamps grow faster and produce more end product than those grown without supplemental lighting.
Best For Enhanced Fruit
And Flower Production
While plants grown under Sodium lamps don't look very good, the added red spectrum of sodium causes an increase in fruit and flower production over natural sunlight or metal halide lamps.
Enhanced Spectrum Bulbs
AgroSun Extended Red Sodium bulbs from Hydrofarm add increased amounts of red spectrum light for increased fruit and flower production over standard sodiums.
Hortilux bulbs by EYE and SonAgro bulbs by Philips add blue spectrum to the normal red spectrum of sodium, improvingcolor rendering and plant appearance, while maintaining the extra red spectrum necessary for enhanced fruiting and flowering.
