Why Home Harvest Garden Supply quit printing a paper catalog...
Did you know that the paper alone for one Sunday edition of the New York Times consumes over 3 acres of trees? Wow! No ill will towards the Times (they do have an excellent online version that's free), but just imagine how many newspapers must be printed everyday around the world.
Now think about catalogs. How many companies that you presently deal with send you dozens of catalogs every year? And just how many times per year do you order from those catalogs? How many times have you tried to order something out of a catalog only to find that the catalog was out of date?
We have been criticized by some for taking this position, with the point being made that much of our paper today comes from tree farms, trees specifically planted to be harvested for use as paper. And we can appreciate that position. Computer technology promised us a paperless society. The internet can be the messenger, especially if we all understand and utilize the tools available that reduce the need for printed paper.
In the interest of the environment, the only place you'll find a Home Harvest® Garden Supply catalog is online. We keep it current with all the new products and information, we'll help protect the environment, and you never have to worry about losing it or even worse, throwing it in the landfill.
