Sunlight Supply of Vancouver, Washington, brings you a new specialty lamp that allows the use of either a metal halide or a high pressure sodium bulb in the same fixture.
Until the introduction of the Sun System VI, indoor horticulturists had to rely on inefficient conversion bulbs to burn a high pressure sodium bulb in a metal halide lamp fixture or vice-versa. Now growers can enjoy the maximum amount of available light instead of sacrificing efficiency.
To change from one lamp to the other, merely insert the appropriate bulb and set the conveniently located switch to the correct operating position. The switchable ballast will drive all of today's popular high performance and spectrum enhanced lamps such as Hortilux, AgroSun and SunMaster. |

Hortilux Metal Halide Bulb
Included with this system is the new Hortilux High Output Metal Halide grow lamp. Spectrally enhanced specifically for vegetative plant growth, Hortilux Metal Halide is an excellent halide bulb for all-purpose growth, producing short stocky plants like those grown outdoors.
The 400 watt Hortilux Metal Halide bulb produces 39,000 initial lumens and has a rated lifespan of 20,000 hours and the 1000 watt Hortilux Metal Halide bulb produces 115,000 initial lumens with an average lifespan of 12,000 hours. |
